I am having serious time change issues. YAY! I slept part of the day and now I am up wide awake. It's 11:45pm here (5:45 pm at home) and I have a feeling now I am going to be up most of the night. I guess I will just ramble on here for a little bit. I booked our hotel in the most awesome area of Brussels. It is very close to the Grand Place and also located right next to this 3 story shopping mall that opens out to this long 1-2 mile + shopping street. love it!! I tried walking around the mall a little bit earlier, but I was so tired I had to call it quits. Plus by the time you buy anything here with the euro conversion you end up paying way more! So unless I come across something just absolutely amazing, I think I'll just buy some chocolates and save my money for Paris ;)
My hotel is really nice! Although it should be for 310 euros a night! The whole hotel is decorated art deco style. They also have a full gym complete with saunas. Upon arriving, there was a lovely plush bathrobe on the bed and a Godiva chocolate on the nightstand. Next to the bed is a lighting system where you can turn on and off all of the lights in the room, even the bathroom. I just ordered room service...cream ravioli, belgian chocolate mousse, and a coke zero (33 euros). The coke itself is about three sips "big" haha. There are a couple of downfalls though, one thing is that I can hear my manager next door on the phone talking to his 3 year old son right now, I guess he's having time change issues too. The other is that only English speaking channel on TV is CNN and they are doing continuous repeats of the Swine Flu Outbreak...F--- Me!
